The Rotting Pelican was a fishing vessel owned by Jack of Barnacle Bay.

When the Simpson family was visiting Barnacle Bay, they saw Jack on The Rotting Pelican. Marge asked him what had happened to the town. Jack explained that the town used to fish up Yum-Yum Fish, but they couldn't catch them anymore. Lisa suggested that was because they were overfished.

After Homer accidentally burned down the Barnacle Bay marina with fireworks, he was made to work aboard The Rotting Pelican as a fisherman. After being introduced to the crew, the ship set sail and fished up their first haul. Most of the haul was trash, but they also caught some Slarg Fish, which tasted horrible.
