However, these activities didn't work and the public still hated them. Theo then told the group that he had a drastic idea which could work, but the group rejected the idea because it was drastic. Theo eventually talked them round to hearing him out about it.

The Brotherhood of the Spectacles (also referred to as the Rough Riders) is a group of Bart's classmates at Springfield Elementary. The group consisted initially of Bart Simpson, Nelson Muntz, Milhouse Van Houten, Dolph Shapiro and Jimbo Jones. Kearney Zzyzwicz was a later addition to the group.
