The cop show that Homer watches is a parody of the action TV series Starsky & Hutch

    • Over the freeze-frame at the end of the show, the words "A Stephen J. Copshow Production" appear, a parody of Stephen J. Cannell, who produced many cop shows but not Starsky & Hutch.
  • Fat Tony, Louie, Legs and Johnny Tightlips are creating fake Lacoste shirts.
  • When Wiggum holds a fried chicken as if it was a gun, Johnny Tightlips says "looks like his weapon is loaded with 12 original herbs and spices".
