Smartline is a late-night panel discussion show aired on Channel 6 and hosted by Kent Brockman. It is one of the more high-brow programmes on Channel 6, particularly compared to Eye on Springfield, the opening sequence of which features semi-naked women winking at the viewer. The show invites several guests from the local area, each of whom have strong opinions about a certain issue, and invites them to participate in debate. Brockman often presents the show in manner biased to one side of the debate; for example, in the episode Itchy & Scratchy & Marge, he comments that "most people would say, 'No, of course not! What kind of stupid question is that?'" when introducing Marge.
