== History ==
A zero point shard was lodged in the chest of a demon that [[Jonesy]] and [[Hope]] were fighting. Hope tried to use the tractor beam of [[Kang]] and [[Kodos]]' [[UFO]] to remove the shard, but the demon threw the UFO into a rift, and only a small piece of the shard broke off. After the UFO was destroyed over [[Springfield Island]], the zero point shard fell through the window of the [[Simpson house]]. [[Homer]] put the shard in the battery compartment of his television remote and found that the remote now had the power to alter objects. He started using this new power to change life for the better for him and the people of Springfield Island. However, Jonesy and Hope were still trying to find the shard.
