Homer goes into the crawlspace under the house to find the ring and gets attacked by skunks whilst he's down there. In the back garden, Marge cleans Homer off then takes his clothes to clean them. Marge reveals that she has a method of cleaning stinky clothes that works without needing a washing machine, just by using a few ingredients in an old pillow case. Lisa tells Marge that they could better the lives of people who don't have washing machines, like the homeless.
