== History ==
The site was suggested in February [[2014]] by Wiki Head [[User:Solar Dragon|Solar Dragon]] to Wikisimpsons' server manager [[User:Jake|Jake]] after he had received another question about ''[[The Simpsons]]'' in his Wikisimpsons email inbox. He suggested this change to stop the chance of this from happening and to give people a place for them to ask the questions, rather than going to him in person. The site was mostly finished on February 16 and was officially launched the next day on February 17.

== Description ==
Wikisimpsons Answers runs on the {{Plainlink|http://www.question2answer.org/|Question2Answer}} software, rather than {{W|MediaWiki}}, like all other sites in the Simpsons Wiki Network. This is because a different system was needed to set this up. The site allows any user to ask a question and gives other users a chance to answer it.

When a logged in user asks a question, they get points. Answering questions also gives points. These points can be used as a measure of activity on the site to see who is the most active user.

Asking questions is a fairly simple task. All a user has to do is type in the question then tag it with appropriate tags and give any additional information required. Tags help categorize questions to make it easy to sort through questions. Also, those with specific knowledge in one category can use the tags to find other questions for that category.
