While Scratchy is thus engrossed, Itchy puts a chain on Scratchy's leg and drives a wooden stake into the ground through the far end of the chain, leaving Scratchy secured to the spot. Itchy then gets into the van and drives off.

 Scratchy is puzzled as he sees Itchy driving away, but then simultaneously notices that he's stuck to the ground and that the tornado is moving towards him. Scratchy struggles to free himself, but to no avail: the tornado hits him and he is torn to pieces by the funnel's winds and the debris inside the funnel. Meanwhile, Itchy continues driving away from the storm and laughs as pieces of Scratchy fall out of the sky and land on his windshield.
