After [[Krusty]]'s first dreadful show at the circus, he was fired by the [[Ding-A-Ling Bros. Circus ringmaster|ringmaster]]. Tootso then told Krusty (by honking her horn) that he was a terrible clown. When Krusty became successful, he entered a relationship with the {{ap|bearded lady|Krusty the Clown}}. Tootso asked him out too, but Krusty told her he was already seeing someone. Krusty then whispered to Tootso that he would see her behind the seal tank in half an hour.

Tootso eventually left Springfield by train with the rest of the circus.
