He places the water balloon on one end of the seesaw, then climbs atop a picnic table near the other end. He jumps off the picnic table, lands squarely on the seesaw, and triumphantly cries "We have lift off!" as the balloon flies into the air. Bart's triumph is quickly dashed, however, as the balloon, instead of soaring into orbit, quickly comes back down and hits him on the head.

With Üter making the jump, the balloon flies a long way across the playground and narrowly misses [[Lisa]].

 Bart gives Üter his cookie, and it dawns on him that the heavier the person making the jump is, the farther the balloon will travel. With this realization, Bart offers Üter his entire lunch, and [[Wendell]]'s as well, which is okay with Wendell as he was feeling nauseous and wasn't going to eat it. While Üter eats, Bart begins setting up another water balloon on the seesaw.
