[[Lisa]] was to present the bird, which was to be named "The Skinner Sparrow", to Principal Skinner during an assembly. However, since she was looking after [[Mr. Hoots]], an injured owl, at the Bird Sanctuary at the time of the assembly, [[Bart]] presented the bird instead. Bart told the Sanctuary employees that Lisa had requested the bird be renamed to "The Flaming Blue Wiener" at the last minute, which embarrassed Skinner.
