 Illinois mistake.  It is stated in the article that it must be Illinois becuase they have coastline and a major league baseball team in their capital of Chicago.  The capital of Illinois is actually Springfield in the middle of IL, and has no major league baseball team.
 The only capital cities with major league baseball teams are Phoenix, Boston, Denver, and Atlanta. Well, and Toronto, which is the provincial capital of Ontario, but that's in Canada.
+: Also of note, Illinois doesn't have a DMV (as a proud Illinoisan, I'll report that we have Driver Services Departments), so the state can be added to the list of non-DMV states, thus removing all 50 states from the possibility of Springfield's state.
