[[Marge]] didn't want [[Bart]] and [[Milhouse]] to play videogames because she deemed them too violent. Instead she suggested they play a board game instead. She took the two up to the attic where they found a small bookcase full of games. Bart then asked Milhouse which of the "bored lames" they should play. The two then began listing a number of games, one of them being Taffy Land. After pulling every game off of the shelf, they found [[Satan's Path]] and decided to play that.

The game is a parody of {{W|Candy land}}, a board game released by the {{W|Milton Bradley Company}}. Coincidentally, the company was established in Springfield, Massachusetts.
