+When [[Channel 6]] sponsored a contest to design a new Olympic mascot for the Springfield Olympic Games, Homer created Abby the Olympic Tabby, which was just [[Snowball II]] inside papier mache. When the rest of the family hated this and [[Lisa]] freed Snowball, Homer revealed that he had a backup mascot, Springy, which the family liked. Springy was later picked as the winner and became the mascot, beating out [[Patty]] and [[Selma]]'s [[Ciggy]].
