When [[Principal Skinner]] told student at [[Springfield Elementary]] to bring an item to school for the time capsule, [[Bart]] put a sandwich, which he blew his nose with, in the time capsule. Afterwards, Springfield residents gathered at the [[Town Square]] where it was buried. It was subsequently discovered that one thousand years from then, led to [[New New York creatures|creatures]] multiplying. This caused the [[infosphere:Planet Express|Planet Express]] crew in [[New New York]] to go back in time and kill a [[Simpson family]] member to stop this from occurring.
