When [[Bart]] made all the bird fly so they had temporary close it until the birds return adopt [[Lisa]] the owl, [[Mr. Hoots]] so he didn't became food. The bird later returned at the sanctuary was re-opened and they took back the owl.

+[[Springfield Elementary School]] raised a lot of money for the Springfield Bird Sanctuary, which got the Sanctuary to name a bird, [[The Flaming Blue Wiener]], after [[Principal Skinner]]. [[Lisa]] also volunteered at the Sanctuary and looked after an injured owl, [[Mr. Hoots]], there. When Lisa went to eat the lunch [[Bart]] made for her, she found that the lunchbox was rigged with an airhorn. The airhorn scared all the birds away, which led to the Sanctuary being shut down temporarily until the birds returned. Mr. Hoots was then adopted by Lisa to look after whilst the Bird Sanctuary was closed.
