== History ==
Peter Lewis was a nerd who wanted to fit in with his fellow students. However, the other students thought he was nerdy and didn't want to have anything to do with him. Peter decided to get on the school football team so he could compete with jocks like [[Bash Flashman]]. However, the coach didn't think he would fit in on the team, so he had Peter tend the school's mascot, {{ap|Gladys|Gladys the Groovy Mule}}, instead. While Peter was cleaning Gladys' shed, Gladys shocked him by speaking to him. Gladys decided to teach Peter how to be cool like her.

Peter and Gladys went to a jazz club, where they were confronted by two Soviet gangsters. They tried to recruit Peter to work for the Communist First Secretary of the Soviet Union, [[Nikita Khrushchev]]. Peter fought them off with bongo drums, and a female jazz musician was impressed. However, Peter and Gladys had to leave to prepare for the big [[Summerfield Atoms]] game the next day.

During the game, the Atoms were losing, so Peter and Gladys took to the field. Gladys scored the winning points for the Atoms. After the game, {{Ch|Richard Nixon}} recruited Peter for Los Alamos. At the test site, Peter launched the bra bomb. Peter had also offered jobs to Bash Flashman and his friend to watch over the test site, and they were caught in the explosion, killing them.
