Scratchy and his wife buy a fixer-upper home and settle into a contented married life of working on their house, picnicking and cloud-watching on a nearby hill, and growing old together in the house after the renovations are finished.

The ghosts of Scratchy and Mrs. Scratchy float up out of the crater, and Itchy uses a canister vacuum cleaner to suck them out of the air. Itchy removes the bag from the vacuum's canister, and the ghosts can be seen as lumps moving around in the bag. Itchy then sets the bag on fire. The ghosts scream as the bag burns up and Itchy warms his hands by the fire.
