Bart reads Milhouse's diary entry for that day, inwhich he wrote that he hoped that on his birthday, which was that day, he could spend it being cool. Milhouse is in the bathroom when he asks Bart what he is doing here, Bart says "Nothing" and then runs out the door, tellling Milhouse not to be late for school. Milhouse is sad because Bart didn't wish him a happy birthday. As he leaves for school, Milhouse's mom [[Luann]] wishes him a happy "let your kid walk himself to school day".
