During a church service at the [[First Church of Springfield]], [[Reverend Lovejoy]] introduced the opening hymn “[[In the Garden of Eden]]” by I. Ron Butterfly. The congregation began singing the song, but Lovejoy soon realized that it was actually a rock song rather than a traditional hymn. The performance continued as the organist played an extended arrangement before the music finally ended.
