Bart is happy because the shame of being the only family in town with a sedan will be over. Marge is dubious about buying an SUV, but Homer tells her that "sedan-stigma" is the leading cause of low self-esteem in children. Bart shows an ad for the [[Canyonero]] Mark IV, which has a snowboard rack and a fully stocked wet bar. Homer shows an ad for an SUV with cargo space that converts into a state-of-the-art DVD screening room. Lisa tells them that SUVs are notoriously unsafe; the tires burst, and they flip over easily. Homer counters by saying they protect the jobs of [[ambulance]] drivers. Lisa then says that the pollution they cause will be a serious problem for generations to come. However, Homer dismisses this, saying it would be her generation's big challenge. As Homer and Bart start chanting "S-U-V," Marge tells Lisa that they won't be able to get one as they'll never be able to afford one.
