When the family were talking about selling their possessions, [[Marge]] suggested that the Gelatinous Cube must be worth something. The Gelatinous Cube then responded, asking if this was about what happened to the cat, whose skeleton was inside him, as the Cube had told the cat not to sit on him.

Later, [[Homer]] takes [[Maggie]] out of him before the Cube could dissolve her. After [[Homer]] was freed from his toenail cage, the Gelatinous Cube asked if he could eat the toenails, then did so.
