Homer then had her hold up a hand when reading so that he'd know she was acting. When Deschanel started to read the next line, Homer interrupted her, thinking she had a question. Homer then got her to raise one arm, twirl her foot and wink an eye when acting. When she did this, Homer interrupted her, saying that she was acting weird. When Deschanel asked if Homer was okay, Homer said that she thought he was okay when she married him and stormed off.

Later, Deschanel played Marge in the film where she sang.
