While [[Homer]] is asked to light the barbecue, [[Patty]] and [[Selma]] talk about the previous year's barbecue, where Homer forgot to buy charcoal starter. Homer tells the twins that he has plenty of charcoal starter, but when he goes to light the barbecue, he finds that he's all out. Homer tells [[Marge]] that he's going to the store to buy mustard and runs to the [[Kwik-E-Mart]]. However, [[Apu]] is all out of charcoal. Homer returns home and he, [[Bart]], and [[Lisa]] get [[Ned]]'s barbecue from their house to use. Bart pours starter fluid on the barbecue, despite Lisa trying to warn him and Homer that that's not how you light a gas barbecue. Homer lights a match to light the barbecue and causes a massive explosion. Later, the family enjoys their barbecue while Homer is covered in bandages.
