The '''Burns' Heir Auditions''' were auditions held at the [[Lillie Langtry Theater]] inside [[Burns Manor]] as part of [[Mr. Burns]]'s search for a suitable heir.

== History ==
After nearly drowning in his bathtub, [[Mr. Burns]] realized that if he had died, there would have been no one to take over his power plant. Determined to find a successor, he decided to hold tryouts for local children to become his heir. He announced the auditions at his estate. Among those who auditioned were [[Martin Prince]], [[Milhouse Van Houten]], [[Ralph Wiggum]], [[Nelson Muntz]], and [[Bart Simpson]]. [[Lisa]] attempted to audition as well, but Mr. Burns did not want any girls.

Mr. Burns rejected Bart in a particularly cruel manner—by using a machine to kick him in the butt. In retaliation, Bart smashed his windows, broke his statues, and filled his car with water. Impressed by Bart’s vindictive spirit, Mr. Burns chose him to be his heir.
