She told Quimby that he was blowing his chance to do real good for the people of [[Springfield]] and said she was quitting. Quimby asked her not to leave, and Beatrice told him that if he wanted her to stay, he had to hit real neighborhoods and meet the people he would be serving. Beatrice then took Quimby to [[Slobtown]], which was where [[Joe Quimby, Sr.|Quimby's father]] grew up. Quimby was uncomfortable at first due to his lavish lifestyle, but he ended up having fun despite his reservations. Beatrice then made Quimby promise to be the best version of himself.<br /> <br /> After Quimby's victory in the election, he proposed to Beatrice, and she accepted. After the wedding, Quimby's father wanted to speak to him. He told Quimby that he had to keep up his philanderer appearance as it was an essential part of his hyper-masculine political image. Quimby agreed to be seen by the public with mistresses while being loyal to Beatrice in private. When he told this to Beatrice, she became upset and left him immediately.
