== Desription ==
The town square is an irregular rectangle of grass and trees. The [[Springfield Town Hall|town hall]] and the [[Springfield County Court House|county courthouse]] are on opposite ends of the square. The [[Statue of Jebediah Springfield|Statue]] of [[Jebediah Springfield]] is located at the center of the square.

== History ==
Crowds usually gather around here on public occasions. Often, these crowds are angry and are crowding outside the town hall to complain. The catapulting of [[Homer Simpson]] was also going to take place here but it resulted in [[Rex Banner]] getting catapulted instead.<ref name="[[Homer vs. the Eighteenth Amendment]]">"[[Homer vs. the Eighteenth Amendment]]"</ref>
