'''''Peanuts''''' is a multimedia entertainment franchise created by {{w|Charles M. Schulz}}. It began with the ''Peanuts'' comic strip, whose original print run was from 1950 to 2000 and has since been published in reruns. ''Peanuts'' become a multimedia franchise in 1965 with the airing of the first animated television special, ''{{w|A Charlie Brown Christmas}}''.

The franchise has produced many other animated television specials, four feature-length films, an animated television program, video games and a {{w|You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown|stage musical}}. In addition, numerous books exist, both compilations from the comic strip and original works based on the strip.

''Peanuts'' and its characters have been referred to numerous times on ''The Simpsons'': in television episodes, comic stories and other media.
