The '''My Ding-a-Ling Kid''' (real name not known) is a [[Springfield Elementary School]] student who participated in the school's talent show. His entry consisted of singing a crude rendition of the {{w|Chuck Berry}} tune "{{w|My Ding-a-Ling}}". However, he only got through half of the chorus before [[Principal Skinner]] stopped him and bodily escorted him off of the stage.

== Behind the Laughter ==
"My Ding-a-Ling" was a #1 hit for Chuck Berry in the early 1970s, but generated controversy because of the numerous ''{{w|Double entendre|double entendres}}'' in the lyrics. Many radio stations flatly refused to play the song, referenced by Skinner's removing the My Ding-a-Ling Kid from the stage.
