He is one of [[Mr. Burns]]' lawyers. Many times, he has shown up when [[Simpson family|the Simpsons]] are in court (usually on the opponent's side) and quite often makes good points and wins over the judge.

Due to his broad range of clients, many of whom have clashing interests, it is likely that he does not hold any loyalties to any particular client. It is also possible he works for [[Chett Englebrick]] and the Ultimate Punch Kick and Choke Championships, since he accompanies Englebrick by the announcer stand in [[The Great Wife Hope]]<ref>"[[The Great Wife Hope]]"</ref>. However due to the episode's central plot of every man in Springfield being enthralled by MMA and the fact that the blue-haired lawyer doesn't exchange professional conversation (and instead gets quite heated at the notion of Marge Simpson shutting down the MMA ring rather personally "Crazy Dame! Nobody tears down Deceptagon!"), it's just as possible that Chett Englebrick and the lawyer may not have a lawyer-client relationship. That being said, due to his professional attire and close proximity to Chett Englebrick, it can be assumed that he's attending the stadium for his own pleasure and working for Chett Englebrick.

The one other occasion in the show of him having a different job is when he's one of Burns' many financial advisors<ref>"[[The Old Man and the Lisa]]"</ref> but this does not come up again.

Whether he's a private practitioner or a member of a firm(s) is unsaid, but he does have an appearance as an attorney for [[Luvum and Burnham, Family Law]]. However it's unsaid whether he's a partner or a member of the firm. In fact if he is a founder it can be deduced that blue-haired lawyer's real surname is either Luvum or Burnham, but that's purely speculation.
